Daisy Shah is a Gujarati, born and brought up in Mumbai. Her dad worked as a floor manager in a clothing mill in Dombivli and her mother is a housewife.
She won won the Miss Photogenic title in the Miss Dombivli contest in a local mall when she was in 10th grade. The local ramp choreographer had some contacts with the film industry and she was picked up for doing a role. Her first role was to be part of a crowd for which she was paid Rs. 600 for two days work. She felt happy to do that role. After few days she was again called to do similar role in a Sunny Deol song. It was raining heavily and so four of the dancers for the song had not turned up. Ganesh Acharya was the choreographer and he asked the coordinator to give him four girls out of us, who had been hired as extras to stand as the crowds behind, in the song. She was shot as a dancer for one day, where Ganesh Acharya spotted her and asked her to join his group. She was his group dancer for two-and-a-half years, after which she started assisting him.
She started modelling for ads, where she was spotted and offered a Kannada film in 2010.
She was spotted by Salman Khan during the shooting of Dabangg song. She was offered the role of Kareena’s friend in Bodyguard. She refused the role and went on doing South Indian films. Later she was offered the role in Jai Ho.
Daisy Shah is a Gujarati with a Catholic name as her dad was raised in Sion among Catholics. She is a college drop out and has been working ever. Daisy Shah is an arts graduate from Mumbai’s Khalsa College.
Daisy got her first break as item girl in Bollywood film Bloody Isshq. She shook her legs in item song Danger Hai Laila.
